Nomination Meeting Change

Due to unexpected time constraints Candidate Nominee Craig Stone will not be seeking the candidacy at this time. Instead, he puts his full support behind Nominee Marc Reinarz.

Although a vote is no longer necessary and Marc will become our next Candidate, we still look forward to your strong support at this meeting as the Elections Canada Nomination Papers require a minimum of 100 signatures.  It would be wonderful to help Marc out by joining us and signing Marc’s Nomination papers.

The meeting will start at 6:30 pm. Doors will still be open at 6 PM for membership renewal and new memberships. There is no need to register before the meeting.

Here are the details:

Vernon Public Library – Meeting Room – 2800 30th Ave, Vernon BC  V1T 2L8

Tuesday April 2 – Memberships start at 6:00 pm – Meeting starts at 6:30

We will also discuss the upcoming campaign and volunteer opportunities.  We hope that you can attend this very important kick-off to our campaign.

Non-members are also encouraged to attend and sign our next Candidate’s Nomination papers.  We need the signatures of at least 100 local registered voters, so bring a friend!

All are welcome to attend.  Lapsed members can renew at the meeting or any time online.

New memberships will also be sold at the door if you do not currently have one, but an easier way to join would be to become a Green Party Member here.

Greens across the country have been surging and the timing couldn’t be better, for this federal election is a critical one.  The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has given us a timeline of just 12 years to get our collective climate act together.  Now more than ever governments in Canada… and around the world, need good Greens to hold the balance of power; to hold governments accountable for a safer more livable world for all.  With your help, we can be a part of this.

Thank you so much for all your help and support.

See you there!
